two minutes to post, place your bets! tonight i went to portland meadows with friends and we bet on the ponies. it was really rad. we talked sexual innuendos at the concession stand boys - requesting the "jumbo" hot dogs. i won five dollars on a pair of horses. emily won fifteen on another race. it was exciting to yell and shout with everyone else, in a big tiered room with floors that look like they can be hosed down. my nose got cold and a horse tripped and twisted its ankle. there was a fat man in sweatpants shorts. buttcrack. and lots of cowboys. i am glad that i do not often have the chance to gamble. i would be bad at it and probably easily addicted. i have to be at work tomorrow at 8thirty am to learn about brio train tracks and other wooden brio products. here's to working at a toy store! |
